Death’s Awakening

Folder:
2008 Poetry

Buried high atop a lonely hill,

as god’s aura beams down from above.

Dying is such an unwanted pill,

though now I feel his undying love.

My body will stay interred forever,

beneath this grass covered final rest.

I’m done with this lifetime endeavor,

now my new being is truly blessed.

Resurrected the same as his son,

as promised many long years ago.

This new life of mine now has begun,

as I bask in his almighty glow.

Do not cry for me and do not fear,

thinking that I am no longer here.
