Author's Notes/Comments:

JUST WATCHED PROOF..A GWYNETH PALTROW  MOVIE I JUST CAME ACROSS I HAD NEVER HEARD OF OR SEEN BEFORE ABOUT A PROOF WHICH WAS IN A NOTEBOOK AND PICTURING IT LITERALLY BEING IN PUDDING  AND BEING RUINED UNABLE TO READ IT ANY LONGER WHEN THE ACTUAL MEANING OF THE PHRASE WOULD  WORK PERFECTLY WITH  THE PROOF... GOOGLED THIS

The proof is in the pudding is an expression that means the value, quality, or truth of something must be judged based on direct experience with it—or on its results. The expression is an alteration of an older saying that makes the meaning a bit clearer: the proof of the pudding is in the eating.Mar 9, 2022
