THOUGH QUIET I WAS

Folder:
JOURNAL # 41

'Though Quiet I Was'

still my heart sang

she sang like a bird

as honest as she could

to the trees

I found myself so happy

yet introverted today

wrapped up in that feeling

that even in my quietude I was

with you

my world was right as rain

as my grandma often would say

silly I now feel

for all the miscommunication and

the heartaches we have endured

I want to lay down my negative arms

and not misread into any tiny thing you

say

I want to bask in the love and roll

in the care that your heart shared

with me today

how ironic that our spirits are so

large but can seem so tiny

it's a miscalculation of perception

too many allow themselves to be

hoodwinked by

you and I are far too smart

for such mistake

your love is my hope

and faith in that is what gets me by

and with such love in our hearts

to each other we should easily be

able to fly................
