THE FOND MID STROKE

Folder:
JOURNAL#17

I wear it like a favored old coat

this laugher's role in life

that I have been given

I see the necessity of one's departure

from his usual ways yet still

a most grand sadness within me beckons

remain not so much as you are

entirely

but as the way you were in your better

days

able to cope , that I am

so, with this pen poised a little a slight

'The Fond Mid Stroke'

I rally my hiding wit

and invite it out to play

write your best

allow me to wallow worry less

within my muse

as I find that I am indeed happiest there

amid all the pens, words, discarded ideas

and crumpled paper's clutter

as the ink and page are two parts of the

oxygen that I crave

so to live..........................
