SEA SIDE SHAM

Folder:
JOURNAL #19

Sam the clam

sat so sadly in the sand

doing his very, very best

to clean his precious pearl

this beloved bulb of his

once viewed as so terribly grand

when he  was through

alas he found

that he could not quite stand

the very ordeal of releasing

his tiny, little globed hue

so he went back in

and fumed and polished

then polished and fumed

within his shut up shell

all a slam

thinking to his salty, little , slimy

self

well, all of it to the far scattered

winds be fanned

I will sooner keep my pretty, little

polished pearl

than the ocean itself will make blue

berry jam......................
