HOPE'S RISE AGAIN

Folder:
JOURNAL #22

in a rain forest

under sun drenched skies

of nautical blue

I remove society's well common

worn mask

and with tears of gold

streaming from these rivers

that mark my eyes

I relievedly confess

I Love You

the echo of my very own lips

summons courage

to turn from the fear

so to better trace

the gentleness that laces your own

words

as it weaves its own form of magic

around my heart

two shattered, disillusioned searchers

meld to create for these mutual frank

confessors

a happy medium

hemlock of the hurt heart

burned at the stake of a former

vacuumous void

to celebrate a moment of rebirth

of 'Hope's Rise Again'...........

Author's Notes/Comments:

for my dear friend Clay who had been gone for a while without word and he suddenly returned but after that he wondered off again and I've not seen him since.
