wit carved in crudeness
anger jarring up with nails
murky waters withstanding
I would not barter with the scales
justice in its perfection must admit
it needs crime
and crime in its own meanness and
episodic ignorance must refuse it needs time
time that is
to be crafted and planned and none too well
thought out
for we must turn to the fractured minds of the
criminally inclined
to swing back the bat of fault
'tis only the fault of self
truly
society does not create what we have
each of us within our deepest selves
do that solely for our own reasons.
argue what you will
but man
either chooses to tune into
or ignore the despicable
notions he carries deep
within his inner self
the soul
bless its purity
can only in such instances
sit back and watch
as the darkness unfolds
peace for its patience
always comes at a price
