I dare not look into your eyes

Or I’ll fall again

Into deep waters that baptise and cleanse

And strip my resistance away

Leaving me weak and your prey





I hate the touch of skin on skin

It makes me realise ill never win

And feel your arms pressed against my neck

As our lips gently caress



I’m walking back in time and space

Racing against hope and haste

I’m beating the pavement with a sad, sad tune

Just my feet alone, I’m missing you.



Others eyes just don’t seem to see

What you are doing to me

Shrouded in fog and mystery

I never want to be free



To live in their uncomplicated world

Where normality prevails

Your craziness I desire

Matched with mine, our hearts on fire



So take my hand

Just hold it for a while

Write me notes

Make me smile



If all we can do is dream
