I awakened today
With a pain in my chest
And in my bed I stayed
Attempting to rest
Since nights are so long
They become an eternity
Knowing I’m wrong
And coping with reality
I want so badly to hurt you
Even though I promised
Such a thing I’d never do
But I feel so helpless
I try to understand it
But I have the slightest clue
It’s like falling in a deep pit
And the sky’s no longer blue
Everything’s dark and black
I should just find someone new
But once you come back
The light will come too
