Hymn to the Sea

Follow faded footsteps left by long forgotten men.

Sing a solemn song of loss to swoon the western wind.

Lay your life-blood on the line to let the living breath.

Soak the sands in salty tears to soothe the scars in me.

Tumble timeless tongues of grace to take my pain away.

Dance so I may drift and drown my decedance away.

Breathe your brine to bathe the bile built into my skin.

Save my soul from scathing sins before my sorrow wins.
