JFK Street

JFK Street

It was a very foggy, cold night and as he walked to his car he put his coat on and drove away, as he drove he thought I have so much to loose. The windows where down and the cool winter air grazed trough his skin. He saw in the distance a green stoplight that turned yellow and then red. He stopped. This is it; he thought the point of no return. Next to his car arrived a sand colored minivan. He turned his head and in that sand colored minivan he saw a family. In the Driver seat was a man with a yellow polo t-shirt and by his side was a woman, a beautiful woman. She had long black hair and wore glasses. The man and the woman where holding hands. In the back seats where 3 kids about 7 or 8 years old. They where asleep. The light turned green and the minivan left. He did not move. He was paralyzed thinking am I really doing this, is this really necessary? The light turned red again and he felt relieved. They will never find out. What harm will it do if they never find out? He had been repeating these phrases for a month now. He reached his pocket and took a cigarrete and as he was lighting it the light turned green. He took a puff and then drove straight. After a few minutes of driving he finished his cigarrete and threw it out the window. He then turned left on JFK Street and there it was. The place was well lit and it kind of looked like a beach resort but only cheaper it was a place that no one he knew would visit. He parked his car took a piece of gum out of his pocket and looked at it for a second. The piece of gum had something on it. On one side it had the number 219 on it and right bellow the number it said "see you there". He ate the piece of gum and then put the wrapper in his pocket. He then got out of his car and walked trough the parking lot and got to the lobby as he entered he saw that the receptionist was asleep he kept walking and to his right he saw an elevator and clicked the button for it to open. As he waited for the elevator to open a young mother and her daughter got besides him and waited for the elevator with him. The elevator opened and they all got in. When the doors closed he clicked the number two and the woman clicked the number three.  The man looked at the girl and smiled the girl smiled and hugged her brown teddy bear. The elevator doors opened and the man got out. He walked down the hall counting the room numbers until he saw room 219. He stood there for a while just looking at the door thinking am I really doing this, is this really necessary?
