The Lion and the Rabbit.

Long time ago, when there was nothing on Earth, the gods created the first two creatures that would walk on Earth. They created a mighty Lion and a Rabbit. Then they created the rivers and oceans in order for them to have water to drink. Then they created the jungle so they could have a place to sleep. They created the mountains so they could go there and pray to them. They created the sky so they could watch it every day and never forget the gods who created all those things. Those entire things had a purpose, and it was to make the life of the Lion and the Rabbit relatively easy and happy. The gods let them do everything, except for one thing: they should never eat from the raspberry tree.
The first days living on the Earth were very happy days for the Lion and the Rabbit. They went to the rivers and oceans to drink water together. They kept praying to the gods and thanking them for the life they had. Whenever there was a bad weather, both helped each other out. Their kindness was infinite. And so, they kept doing things like this for a very long time.
One day, they were just gazing at the sky when the Lion asked Rabbit, “Why do you think they created us?”, the Rabbit answered, “I don’t know, maybe because they love us so much”. But the answer did not seem a proper answer for the Lion. “I am starting to think they don’t love us as much as they say”, said the Lion, “But why do you say that? They gave us everything” answered Rabbit, only to hear a mad response from the Lion, “Stop saying that, they don’t gave us everything. What about the raspberry tree?”. “Lion”, said the Rabbit “it is the only thing we are not supposed to eat. Don’t be greedy” “Well, if we are free as they say we are, I think we can eat from it. So I will do it tomorrow”. Rabbit knew something bad was going to happen. It was the first time he saw the Lion so doubtful and determined to do something.
So the next day, the Lion woke up the Rabbit to tell him he was going to do it. “I will not let you do it alone, I am coming with you”, said the Rabbit. So they walked all the way up to where the raspberry tree was. They kept watching the tree for hours; it was full of fruits and was indeed a very beautiful tree. After a long time, the Lion finally decided to eat from it. He ate, and ate but he did not fill anything inside him. He then felt hungry for the very first time in his life. And as everyone knows, the true nature of a Lion is to eat meat. So he ate, full of gluttony, the only meat that was around…
Years have passed since that accident and the Lion, still starving, goes to the mountain to pray to the gods but they do not listen anymore. He, for the very first time, is alone in the world.
