The Loss

hope turned upside down

there was no rescuing her now

a willow tree loses its leaves far off in the distance

a humming bird mute with melancholy misery

a crow circles around her head

cawing as if the devil himself were upon her

what brings on this sudden sadness

the sky is blue

the leaves are green

peace is in the air

but she lacks this serenity

she cries out for help silently

she smiles to on-passers

wondering if they see threw her thick wall

she's tried to hard and so long

its become easy to fake
