I cry these tears

For many reasons

I cry these tears

For you to see them

I cry these tears

Not for sorrow

I cry them today

Not for tomorrow

I do not cry them

Because I'm glad

And I shall not cry them

When I am sad

These tears I shed

Are bundled with hope

And as they glide

Down this gentle slope

Please be aware

That they are pure

And soon one day

They may be yours

You see these tears I cry

Have had years to build

And once they're released

My mind will be so thrilled

Thrilled for the fact

That it has been freed

And oh so happy

For you and for me

Lets not dwell on the past

Or look ahead too far

You see these tears we all cry

They only signal the start.
