The Silhouette

I see a silhouette

As the heat intensifies

I feel your presence

But then again

My vision is askew

A blurred face

In the distance

Bellowing out to me

With empty screams

Of humility

Attempting to speak

But nothing escapes me

Gasping for air

My lungs fill with smoke

And it consumes me

A figure rises

As my heart leaps

Into my throat

Choking me

I grasp at my throat

The winds begin to howl

I see the figure againa

As it moves gingerly

Closer into my presence

And finally I see

Before me

Your face more clearly

Stretching my hand out

Attempting to feel you

As the winds whip you away
