Liar Paradox

Folder:
Philosophy

those who lie tell the truth

because they lie,

there is no way of knowing,

it is all your opinion,

People are free to make belief,

because they can't be for certain

to be lying, their truth is their lie.

They believe their lies because they

believe them to be true; it is a delusion,

but that is still just an opinion of a subjective science.

Knowledge is not knowledge

because in knowing something you are forgetting something,

in holding on to one thing, you are letting go of another,

constantly changing your viewpoint to fit what you believe to

be true; but what you think is true can be merely false,

Nothing is fact,

because your interpreting,

the facts that do not exist;

they are conceptions of things

but they are not the things themselves

The things themselves can never be known,

therefore knowledge can never be knowledge,

because you can never know the thing itself,

knowledge never makes the full circle of reality.

Author's Notes/Comments:

Kant said the thing in itself can never be known. Things are not things because we call them things. We are assigning meaning to something but are not actually grasping the thing as it is.
