Regret

Trying to work out this feeling,

As you sink lower to death,

Trying hard to cut deep,

Starving for life,

Breathing for your last breath,

As you suffocate on your own words,

Breaking within,

Wanting nothing more than a home,

Words compare nothing to actions,

Hollowed out by your pain and hate,

Have you ever felt so alone?

The light will never reach to hell,

Holding back your need for shed tears,

Convincing others not to worry,

Only hurting when you breath,

Closing the lid of your sarcophagus,

Desires of your love fleeting,

Yelling inside of your head,

Oh God, why me?

Never knowing why but doubting yourself,

It hurts with every breath...

It hurts when I try to breathe...

It hurts when I breathe...

The regret of this loss,

This beauty of more than flesh,

Holding onto its innocence,

Not wanting to let go,

Still holding it within your soul,

The pain festering within their eyes,

Yet they never tried to help,

Awakening your senses,

The hatred,

The only forgiveness,

The absolute epiphany of everything.
