Love is a Headache

Just a simple glance,

Can start a special chance,

Words said with eyes,

Promises made by time,

A feeling we can't define,

So instead we choose to hide,

Our fears taking over,

wishing for four leaf clovers,

our stomachs fill with nerves,

and now were lost for words,

trying to articulate,

what it means to find your soul-mate,

and as we search for words,

our minds feel drunken slurred,

and the feelings that we vomit,

can be as hot as comets,

burning the ones we Love,

A phoenix made from a dove,

A flame misunderstood,

The trick candle of common good,

Burns when it chooses,

goes out on those it uses,

creating mental bruises,

that's why at times we mistake,

Love's headaches as hate in wait,

But Love has a face you can't imitate,

Its like heavens gate you just have to wait,

because one day you'll see it,

and then you will know,

How to appreciate it,

And never let it go,

no matter the headaches.... - Devonte Mack
