Leaving behind a grieving habit

This man lived his life for nothing

He was a man who never let anyone in

He never seemed to get live life to it’s fullest

Never had any significance in his life

He leaves behind his wife and kids

Somewhat relieved that he is gone

But somewhere they figured there was hope

But I suppose now all that hope is gone

He left a legacy behind

The people at the bar knew him as drunken McGee

They were somewhat close

But once morning hit, they could hardly remember anything anyways

Pornography and the prostitutes also knew him intimately

More than his own wife and kids

Porn shops will surely miss his business

along with his clever remarks

regarding women as mere objects

And someone who was great for the odd hug or odd job

He was a man of very few words

But when it came down to business

He was never there for his children

When it came to facing life he caved

He settled only for what he could

Only settled for mediocrity

Never pressed on to prosper with all he had

He lived in his own little world

Secluded, reserved from anyone who wanted to love him

He never faced life head on

He was never known to take chances

To leap out and say hey this is what I’m about

No he just sat there hoping that fortune would someday find him
