You've got it wrong
The man on the tv says that the southern states
are still engulfed in a storm of racial hate
but the fact of the matter thats at hand
their true ttarget is the working man
...so dont exploit the beauty of my land!!!!
Martin Luther King stood for equality
in the human race, to strive at unity
but then he got another plan
a pilgrimage to memphis for the working man
.... the powers that be just could not let that stand
"Its nothing to do with the color of your skin"
"its all about the class that you're livin in"
"So you've got it wrong"
the gap is growing wider by the day
while the middle class is slowly rotting away
and the whole time they say "depend on me"
"im doing whats good for this country"
...whatever happened to true democracy????
