You Sang Me Your Saddest Song

Is there a reason I find you looking back?
Do you stare because you feel it too?
Have my writings become childish?
Am I the one to care?
Was it hard for you to lie to me?
Atleast I hope you were lying anyways
You say you never meant to lead me on
But you are really afraid of what I would do
I am nothing like he was
Follow the feelings you try to hide
Though you are not very good at hiding them
You sang me your saddest song
The song to cut you deep inside
And I shared with you my secrets
I let you read my lost poems
Was it your beauty to lead me in so carelessly?
Though you cared unconditionally
Tell me if you are not ready
I can give you anything you want
I can handle the honest truth
And smell the lies on your teeth
You could be right here by me
The people would never know
Or I could take you to the city
We can show the world our treasure
They will tell me of your beauty
Each passing time I glance back
My hearts breaks more inside
Maybe because you do the same
Will you ever admit you lied?
