There In My Eyes

The sparkle is gone,
replaced by a tear.
The brown has become misty.
the black full of fear.

One little blink.
and the tear descends.
To be replaced by another,
over and over again.

The white has bits of red,
because of lack of sleep.
They feel ever so lonely,
no more do they seek.

Straight out to memories,
is where they stare.
Hoping in one,
you'll appear there.

They use to dance,
at the sight of you,
And now that you're gone,
cry is all they do.
