So far, yet closer than anyone has ever gotten
So cruel, yet nicer than anyone I have ever met
You are my savior, my life
You brought me back from the dead
If it was not for you
I would have this knife on my skin
Ready to shread

You always forgave me
You are the God in my life
You never shunned me
And on my worst days
You were always there
To tell me I would make it through
But, when I heard what happened
When you were walking over here
When I heard you were hit by some drunken asshole
All I could do was cry
I fell on my knees
And shook my head no
I said no one was ever supposed to
Steal my angel in the night
You were my only reason for living at the time
And now I can not deal with this burden anymore

Right after you picked up the pieces
And put me back together
But there is always a reason for hope
I know you are still with me till this day
Even though you are not here in a body
I always feel your presence around me
