I Fell

I'm sittin' on this bed, still starin' at, the faint impression of you.

Pillow still warm 'n smellin' of sex and the perfume in your hair.

Bed still warm 'n smellin' of sex and you.

I fell in love with you, all over again, after you wondered aloud,

what it would be like to kiss me, after you jumped on me 'n found out,

I fell in love with you, all over again, as you leaned down,

curly hair falling all 'round, tinged cigarrettes 'n perfume,

mouth tentative, as mine, so hungry for you, I fell in love with you,

all over again, mouth explorin', as you're meltin', the left side of your neck

I'm sittin' on the bed, starin' at, where you were,

I'm sittin' on the bed, starin' at the wall, hand clasped over face,

other hand claspin', claspin' at the heart I can't give away so soon,

no, can't give away again, like before, just yet.

I fell in love with you all over and again, arm under your neck,

my leg between yours, and the smell of you, just there, below me,

I fell for you again, as I watched you sleepin, knowing it would be,

one of the last times I saw you, knowing, you wouldn't choose me,

and I cried, for the loss of you that I would never really have, never get to know,

and I cried, for the little pieces, that around you, could be, that would

disappear, once again, for me.

I loved you while I had you, knowing that I was heading for the breaking,

knowing that I was headed, for the fall, and hoping, hoping, that it would never,

never ever, happen at all, and I loved you while I could, knowing, all the while, knowing, that I would never have the chance again, to share my heart with you.
