Entangled

Folder:
1996-1999

you are too free for my heart

like a bird uncaged

I need to see the spiderwebs

and open up my wings

one thousand diamonds

in your eyes

one thousand whispers

call you

you unspoken perfection

shining in romance

I am entangled

in my own web

you captured me

and now my head hurts

so why cant I stop believing

that its okay

when I know this life

in the end wont pay

why cant you understand and see

Im not the soul I used to be

I no longer see through childs eyes

I have lived and learned

and I survived

I dont play the song of nothings girl

Ive seen the perils of her world

Ive seen the blood run off her hands

down the drain with her lifelong plans

the truth is

we all have hearts that bleed

and all the tears that fall away

are precious dreams

I need to see such spiderwebs

to open up my wings

and when I fly

we both can sing

for I am so entangled

and now my head hurts

Author's Notes/Comments:

A song that I wrote long ago.
