Remember to hope
Request a vacation
but get two instead.
8 hours a week
they gave me chicken feed.
I work the night
then go on my first.
A week on my friends spare bed
preparing for the one I asked for
we drink and smoke
and I strum the guitar
every night until i'm supposed to eat
the chicken feed they toss out to me
but they can keep it.
I don't go
and instead
extend my vacation.
There's a wrenching in my gut.
We play chess and the night gets hostile.
Put in the corner
torchered
a slow kill.
3 days in paradise
a place that appeared to be
a disparate world
High up in the air
sitting on the edge of cliff-side.
One small step too close could crack the rock
and plumit you to a for sure death.
On the third day
we were tired
stressed
aching
without water and cigarettes
We took the wrong steps
and split off in different ways
We'll see eachother later
but we'll all be angrier.
we'll go off into the darkness
and the bear will come out
chasing you,
ready to eat you alive
Run,
run.
and remember to be hopeful
YOU WILL GET OUT OF THE DARKNESS
EVERYTHING IS GOING TO BE MUCH BETTER SOMEDAY.
