It’s the heart attitude that reveals you to God
& His daughters, & His sons…
…it can carry you through times you feel confused,
or bring you closer to loving with God’s love!
A grateful heart conveys that you start each day
In His presence, & that you see
All He’s given, in grace, & His merciful ways,
& that you appreciate all that this means…
…& when persecution comes, do you rejoice, or run?
hold onto your life, or lay it down?
When you receive more than you’ve handled before
Do you think you can’t cope with it now?
When you praise God & know that He’ll never give you more
than He’s promised to see you through
Give thanks for His way of purifying us each day
By trials & fire, that’s how you know He loves you!
In everything, give thanks, when it’s hard to see, give thanks,
He unblinded me when I gave thanks for His perfect plan,
Cuz all things work together for those who love God,
Who are called to walk, not after the flesh,
But led by the spirit, His Holy Spirit!
It’s your heart attitude that reveals you to God,
Keeps your heart’s door open for more of His love!
It’s a grateful heart that, every day,
helps me make a new start,
Keeps me learning, keeps me growing, keeps me singing!
