The Champion

The Painted Warrior said his goodbyes,

Met by fake smiles and giggles,

He strode on.

Sat back in his easy chair,

Looked at his nails,

And stiffled a yawn.

The war drums beat,

The bonfire raged,

The raucous crowd sangs victory songs,

And beligerently carried on.

Their champions strode forward,

Hyped up

Ever so hyped !!!

They could not lose.

The Painted Warrior met his foes,

Smacked them once,

And they were gone.

The Painted Warrior,

Sat back in his easy chair,

Looked at his nails,

And stiffled a yawn,

You'd think, thought he,

After a million years,

They would learn.

Got off of his chair,

And headed home.
