WHEN TIME STOOD STILL

Author's Notes/Comments:

Written long ago when Daphne invited me to a party and where I found every man ogling at her. I could not put up with all I was watching and wrote these few lines and passed them on to her. She read it and smiled at me and responded in a way that very few women would have done -- she came and sat next to me and after some time we went away in her car for a long drive. She knew how I was feeling deep inside and was proving in her own unique way that nobody else mattered to her more than me. May God Almighty bless her...forever...Aameen/Amen!

The Moment I Loved You

Author's Notes/Comments:

The idea for this poem came from a phonecall one evening when I had really reached the end of my proverbial rope.  A good friend called during a weepy time for me and verbally let me cry on his shoulder.  Very gently he allowed me to regain my balance.  The poem was born that night.
