I wrote this in remembrance of my grandmother who passed away shortly before I graduated highschool.

I lost my father on September 11, 1999, and wrote this poem shortly afterwards.  He was such a wonderful father and friend.  A truly good man.

I wrote this as a young child when I lost both my grandparents within two months of each other and it seemed so unfair to me at the time.  Now, it's so very clear to me as I've grown older.

She died at an early age having only written one book. It defines her well.

I wrote this poem one night after hearing on the news about a young child being beaten to do death. It just pissed me off how many young lives are taken for senseless reasons. 1-23-04

"Letters to Mom" are part of the grief work I continue to do.  Losing a parent is one of the hardest things I've ever had to do.
