A Hearts Search

Folder:
2001

The heart pulses

Reaches out to another

One that fits perfectly

Unlike any other

It searches long and hard

Always looking for that one

That one it shall be safe with

If it is where it shall run

When it finds it

It latches on tight

Never wanting to let go

Without a fight

Together they do stay

Pulsing with true love

And with this you soar high

On the wings of a dove

Comfort Me

Folder:
Prayers

As I woke this morning Lord
My heart keeps aching for your touch
Comfort me today Lord
Help me see your ways in me.

As I woke I prayed for you
to make me whole
keep me walking in your ways
Comfort me today Lord.

The pain I can't explain
But when you comfort me I can
keep going and it will be my gain.

To feel your touch
To hear your voice
To walk with you this day
Will keep me lifted and not dismayed
Comfort me today Lord

As this day fades away
Comfort me Lord
Keep me strong in your ways
Speak to me as I try to walk
This long road of pain and sorrow.

Comfort me today Lord
Prepare me for a new tomorrow.

Wicked Game

Our hearts are so twisted, entangled, entwined.

This wicked game pitches my heart against my mind.

I want to believe you and let down my wall,

But I've been broken so long I'm afraid of the fall.

To touch you would tempt me to let down my guard,

But with so much pain to build it, breaking it's hard.

So I look out through the bars of this prison I've made,

And wish upon wishes that you hadn't played,

Because this wicked game is made to tear us apart,

And believe me baby, it begins with the heart.

The Looking Glass

Folder:
Just a thought!

The Looking Glass

Peeking through The Looking Glass
To forge the distant miles
Seeking hope and sharing dreams
We trade our thoughts and smiles
Some are very dear to us
We chance to call them friend
A special voice within our heart
We put our trust in them
In search of love or just a friend
Taking stock in all their faces
Our time is spent within the glass
To fill the empty spaces
Be thoughtful, true and honest
With your daily search endeavor
And you might find, deep in the glass
A friend, who will last forever

Whispers of Love

Just a thought!

Whispers of Love

It’s hard to believe
Someone loves you this much
Only faces and words
And never a touch
I’d say, couldn’t be true
If you’d ask me before
But you opened my heart
And stepped thru the door
Whispers of Love
From a sweet Angel’s voice
Touching my soul
Without thought or a choice
Your passion is endless
I’ve been blessed from above
Trembling and breathless
I give you my love

Silence

Ugonna Wachuku

There's grave silence

accross the earth seen.

Hidden hearts preach in

cities for growth, for

social justice, for

dying humankind's

well-being globally,

for fertile farmlands

and humane harvest.

Inequality blooms!

Silence! You don't

count!

Church bells are silently

ringing at the distance.

Temple bells are also

ringing. And Mosque

calls mingle with these

ringing bells alive.

I can hear the women
and men singing. I hear

humankind singing:
I can hear you from
Essertines. I can hear

you from Nigeria!

I can hear you from

Mexico! I can hear

you from these United

States of America!

I am

I can hear you from

you from this earth!

I am uncounted

human!

I can hear your voice
from the other village.
Yet, you are so far
away. But I am still

human unloved!

But with the clustered
brilliance of your waving
hair, you will come in
silence.

At the warmth of the
evening sun, you will
smile in silence. I too
will watch in silence.

Night shall come with
golden lamps to give
you hope and unforgotten
love with cherishment;
to give you the silence
of yearning hearts walking
the lush landscape of my
beckoning soul:

That loving mutness in
sweet sad silence seen

across our breathing

blue earth!

There's grave silence

Hidden hearts preach in

cities for growth, for

resilience, for soothing

social justice, for fresh

farming and harvest,

for dying humankind's

well-being, globally!

Inequality is King!
