Mom you are special to me

Can you see

I love you

With all of my heart too

You are the best at everything

Even when times get turf

We are here to help you up

What is weird is you never fall

You might stumble

But not fall

I admire you

With the kind of heart you have

You always share

And keep the little bit left for you

But what makes you special between anyone else

Is you are MY MOM

Author's Notes/Comments:

This poem is dedicated to my mom, she is so special to me in everyway.  I'm glad God gave me her.

Think about what they do

Can we ever pay the back for everything?

What we can do is love,

Help them in need,

And even leaned them your shoulder

We can also take the pain away

By telling them the good times

And funny times

And how important they are in our lives

If they cry then we will be weak

If they are happy we are strong

But actually it should be the opposite

We strong when they cry

We weak when they are happy

Mother's are important

You shouldn't ever

Stop loving

Get mad at

Or even hit

A mother

Because just think about what they have done

Author's Notes/Comments:

This poem is dedicated to my mother, for everything she has done for me, and I'm sorry mom for being so mean or rude sometimes.  I love you mom!!  Thanks for reading.

A nickname I never knew about

Easter her favorite holiday

she loves to watch bull riding

I would never have known

information given

questions you would not think to ask

how wild.... you think you know someone

then you hear things you never thought about

these are things about my sister in law

to me she is just Meg, wonder woman

when I met her she was cool

my brother fell in love

I was proud, he did good

she transformed from single lady

into a loving wife and friend

going to school, keeping house

later becoming mother to Tyler

always on the Dean's list

not bad for a wonder woman

she has held my respect for sometime now

last April she blessed my brother and our family

with the most beautiful twin boys

she has once again transformed

and right before our eyes

she is now really wonder woman

mom to three, wife to my brother

and also works..... she juggles well don't you think

the most amazing thing to me is

she always seems to find a minute to let me know

she is thinking of me.... just a little hello

Meg you are one amazing lady..... beauty and grace

all in one package.... I admire your style.

Author's Notes/Comments:

well I never knew you were called "Prissy"... that is cute..... but you don't really seem prissy to me....

I love ya sis..... may you have all the blessings this life can offer you......

She’s the one who gave me life.

She’s the one, my father’s wife.

She’s the one that kept me fed,

And tucked me safely into bed.

She’s the one who kissed my boo-boo to make it better.

She’s the one who keeps my old letters.

She’s the one who nurtured my growth,

And supported my Air Force oath.

She’s the one who believed in me

When others said “He would fail”, you'll see.

She’s the one who waits by the phone,

Waiting for me to call home.

She’s the one that wouldn’t name me Tom,

This awesome lady I am proud to call mom.

Author's Notes/Comments:

Given to mom on valentine's day.

Some time ago

I had a chance

to spend time with

and get to know

the thoughts of

a young marine

he was a cut up

always had a smile

and one that would

knock you out

he got better looking each day

just ask him about it

I know it will laugh then say

"yeah, it's so... I do don't you think?"

he is honest sometimes too much so

he can look mean when you see a picture

jaw tight, eyes that can look right through

coldness from a stare

one that can take your breath

but then the smile

can melt even the hard of hearts

the warmth this young marine

can show to his family

can bring a tear to ones eye

I have watched as time goes on

all the trials and tribulations

he has faced and dealt with

he has turned out to be a hell of a man

and this is something that makes me proud

for you see this young marine is my brother

Author's Notes/Comments:

this is for my brother.... he has at times been the thing that made the most sense in my life....

I love ya ....

Yesterday seems so far away

Time passes by so slowly now

So many unanswered questions

No time to say goodbye

You gave sight to 2 small boys

But now I cant see you

You truly were a princess

Though you had no time to reign

I close my eyes and I remember

Your wide smile

You child like laughter

A beautiful person you were

Never again will you call me auntie

Never shall I see you grow and marry

If I could of changed places with you....I surely would

I miss you so much

Goodbyes are so final

Wait just a moment longer.......

Although I cant see you any longer dear

You are safe forever more in my HEART

Loving you always Auntie

Author's Notes/Comments:

I wrote this poem one year after my beautiful niece passed away at the tender age of 17

You Deserve Better Than A Nursing Home

You had to relocate.

You had little to no alternative.

You entered my life again with fury...

As a burning cinder embedded under my skin.

I say, "I Love You" with great conviction.

I fear the pain and distrusting nature of...

     years gone by.

My only wish from you is that...

you open your heart and let me in.

This may be my only accomplishment in...

      your eyes, if achieved.

You are...

Elderly with physical and mental afflictions.

I am...

Middle-age on my path to inherit the...

      familiarities of our genes.

You cared for your parents and husband at home...

until the Lord called for them.

You bore four children.

Only one wants you with true sincerity.

All I ask before you go is for you to...

      Acknowledge Me.

  I Love You... Mom

You deserve better than a Nursing Home.

For Toni

She's a spy,

So quick with triumph,

Her evil eye,

She always gets her man.

And in her life,

She'd fight til she died,

But she's far too quick,

To give in like that.

She's got the devil

In her side,

And an angel

In her eye,

And in another moment,

She'll take you outside.

She's a threat to society,

To international security,

She's a crime,

In time,

And in their eyes.

But she has the secrets,

To find the clues,

To find the fame,

She's a spy,

And she's never the same,

But you'll get your dues,

If you cross her once,

But don't cross her twice,

'Cuz she's a spy,

My own special spy,

She can take it,

With out the blink of an eye.

Author's Notes/Comments:

If you were to only have one best friend in this world, it should be Toni.  She is crazy, funny, sexy, incredible, and absolutely perfect.  After all, she helped bring me and my boyfriend Adam closer together.  I don't think I could ever be mad at her.  She thinks of me as a true blood sister, but I think of her as so much more.  My confidant, my partner in crime, my best friend.  Toni, I love you.

The Lake

Summer sunshine,

Family love,

Peaceful waters of the Lake.

Joyful playing,

Warmest hearts,

Carefree splashing in the Lake.

Campfires burning,

Sharing caring,

Cheerful gathering at the Lake.

Tearful parting,

Hearts remember,

The Reunion by the Lake.
