Ugonna Wachuku
There is a dream far from
the land of my soul.
There are tearful streams
of thought caressing the
yearning warmth of my being.
Windfull trees sway to the
rhythm of nature's heart-beat
in the eye of the me that
I am.
This new dawn, I walk your path
with handsome hope and tear-drops
on my right hand.
This new day, I yearn to see
new landscapes and new beginnings.
But the day is misty, the landscape
unkwown.
Yet I am heaven's hopeful child.
And I must dream beautiful, new
dreams on this land of the eagle.
This new day, let me be created
anew with love on this land of
the eagle beyond my dreams.
Let me be who I must be for the
good of all humanity. Just let
me be made whole on this land
of the eagle.
This new day, there
is a dream far from
the land of my
yearning soul.
Help me Lord!
This new day, let me be
created anew with living
hope and strength on this
lush land of the eagle!

Each day does indeed hold new beginnings. When we try to view tomrrow
from yesterdays point of view, those new beginnings do look misty.
Even if we try to see the newness in the early dawn, there is mist.
We are unable to see the plans which God lays before us each day, for
his plans are much different than what we could ever imagine. I think
we are only to know that His plans for us is for a new day, a promise,
and our chance to remember He is the commander in chief of our soul.
With that, we are created anew and refreshed. We may keep our dreams,
for those are what he gives us to pursue. Dreams are like ships
floating captainless along the sea of our mind. Dreams, waiting for
us to permit Him to come aboard to sail them into their port where
their reality will manifest. Ugonna, this poem was splendid!

The day drags on slowly.
But there are gardens and
flowers to be planted.
There are seeds to be
sown for the harvest.
There are shadows and
dreams to be seen.
There are tears to be
shed; and smiles to be
given on the threshold
of a new beginning.
In my soul;
in the deeper me;
far from the world
and heart that you
know in me, lies that
yawning yearning to
live; to drink from
your life-giving well.
With tears and pleas;
with a broken heart and
shattered dreams, I state
my pain. I shed tears.
I share my dreams
with you; my longings.
I bring my broken pieces
to you; the Potter's
Hands.
When, at last, I find
my narrow way to that
eternal abode of your
loving grace, I will
fall flat; and my only
plea will be that you
make me whole.
Ugonna Wachuku
Nothing else but you moves
my soul through life and
clouds of beauty and joy.
When the story of my life
is told, let your hand of
the spirit remember my
yearning soul.
Let your song of the spirit
build torches of hope and
kindness to light the path
which others like me will
follow.
Let your beauty and love
awaken hidden gifts and
treasures in my life.
And when all the sheaves
are brought in, let humanity
know that the greatest gift
you gave me was, is and will
ever be the awakening of my
deepest soul for the march
through heaven's gate. All
the way to calvary, you
awakened eternity for my
soul!
Ugonna Wachuku
Slowly, whistling winds and waves
embrace my soul on this voyage to
new reality.
Like a river, I follow my course
through beckoning landscapes and
simple seas.
Through moonlit forests of home
and beauty, I walk to the beat
from nature's heart.
There is silence in the air.
There is a song in my heart.
There is unfolding desire to
be all that I must be to you
and to humanity.
Down river roads and pathways,
I follow your footprints to
mountain tops where bald eagles
teach eaglets the mystery of
calmly soaring through life.
From high grounds and moving
landscapes on peaceful sea shores
hidden within you, the story unfolds.
From mountain tops of glory and
beauty, you call me to fish and
dine with caring angels.
There will be yet
another voyage.
When, finally, we arrive at those
headwaters, there will be blue
waterfalls and glad dolphins to
welcome you and me.
These blue waterfalls will be
our compass for the journey
ahead. Smiles and songs will
flower us to bountiful life.
Waterfalls of blue will define
our love for humanity!
And when I meet the coming,
new morning of hope and inspiration,
I will shed tears because your loving
blue waterfalls will be
my caring companion
for life!

A most beautiful piece of poetry. I sense the underlying tones of simplicity with a vivid journey to a long lost part of what was once common to all the peoples of this earth. A small touch of paradise. Flows well and tells a story that nature has been telling us for generations. I am very impressed and will be reading more of your works. I feel that you have a natural talent in telling us what to look for in our daily lives. A piece well away from the humdrums of normality. Thank you for sharing. bern

This poem is absolutely beautiful. You walk me through this journey while making my emotions raw with love, curiously, wonder. I felt as though I was away from today and stepping into a clensing when I let go of dirty thoughts, feelings, notions to be be more than cleansed, but freed. If that wasn't enough you let me have one person to go along with me. I loved to have the allowance of company because it allowed me to share myself and a world to love. Thanks for the wonderful read.

Let me be gone
now ... Silence!
Silence of the
grave ...
Life on this
enchanting
earth home!
Humankind with
heartless homes:
Fading moments of my
awakening...
I walk through unknown
pathways and river banks.
The mind in me is still;
yet wandering through
uncharted landscapes
and meadow sea shores.
This new day, I stare into
clouds, hoping, wishing,
wondering if you'll let me be.
At night, I watch your stars
and moon; waiting, hoping.
Fading moments of my
awakening...
My journey has been a long
one. I have waited so long
in those eyes of human
recokoning.
I, really, keep wondering
whether you'll let me be.
Fading moments of my
yawning awakening...
My soul is heavy ladden.
My spirit reaches out;
searching to find some
meaning to this desolation
on flourishing farmlands
of abundance and beauty.
Will you finally let me be who
or what I am meant to be?
Because, now, this day, there
is joyful pain in my soul.
Will I be? Will I be?
Good Lord, I am still
waiting on you; while
still striving, asking,
seeking, knocking on
heaven's door of your
deeply compassionate
heart. I am, hopefully,
still waiting: "do not
pass me by!"
Let me not be weary.
Let me soar and mount
on wonderful wings as
your eagle of my essence.
Just let me be who I am
created to be, abidingly:
I humbly plead!
Humankind with
heartless homes:
Fading moments of my
yawning awakening...
My soul is heavy ladden.
"Do not pass me by."
Give me your
mustard seed
faith. Let me
not be weary.
Let me go
home now
into your
goodness
for there
is

The sea is so silent
on distant horizons.
Heart-beats tell stories
of love and parting.
Like whistling waterfalls,
I follow your path in nature.
I follow the dream of your
disarming beauty.
I follow the welcoming
road to your deep inspiration.
And in your emerald eyes, life
is born anew for humanity and
for little me.
Now, I am back to the
pathway; back to those
sweet dreams you hold
for me in your soul.
So, when I tell you
stories from my caring
soul, do not wait, take
these stories within you
and remember that whatever
you do, I'll always love you.
Remember all of me
even when I am gone
because just one day,
I'll surely go the
way of all mankind.
Remember all of me,
if you will, even
when I am gone.
And indeed, in your
enrapturing
emerald
eyes,
life
will
be
born
anew
for
humanity
and

All Of Me was also the title of a song my father used to sing, from
the fifties, I think. (Don't take my word for that). But that is why I
clicked on the poem from your index. I love these two lines: I
follow your path in nature. I follow the dream of your disarming
beauty. Very interesting to read and interpret in several ways.
