shoji

these silent white doors

are made, not for you and me

among other things

hold on to the knob—not there!

one more pop in the cold air

I noticed a grammatical error, the compound pronoun "you and I", that was supposed to be "you and me" when being called for by a verb, according to an online article about grammar which I read just now for confirming what I thought did not sound right.

Ex.:

"...these silent white doors

are made, not for you and *me..."

 (wrong:  "...these silent white doors

are made, not for you and i...")

Within My Own

A being sewn with fine broken lace and without any eyes

Worn and torn, thus broken and weathered by years of many lies

Clings onto the forgotten but once noticed shelf just once more

Before the time comes to be shattered by the reality and the floor

I dare not speak of the past and the tunes played

But to mention the emotions that filled up this now empty room ,and warmed the hearts of many, once important but now meaningless

Comes now the cold and wicked air of the fallen and betrayed

She begs me now not to go back,

But I must travel the past once more

The confidence was there but now today I lack

because I fail to recognize when to shut the door

What was now alive is long gone, and dead

As we sing for another day, while someone else loses their head

The unspeakable and unmentionable becomes now our vision

We ignore and feign ignorance to proceed with our own decision

Greed is right behind my shoulders

I say that I must not become like the rest of the world

I try to kill the dark behind me but wait another day once more

I ripped the happiest moments from the book of memories

to hold it dearly, but it blocks my path today as huge boulders

As you try to lock the door

Something whispers faintly but ever so determined to your ear

"Do not dare forget, but do not be sore."

"The present dies, but a future born does not represent fear"

Minding My Business

    Somewhat askew, questions invade the conversation,
                         An icy cold pause is injected,
        Pangs of affliction are sensed but unassumed,
                        Slowly, the doors close shut,
    The muffled sounds of arrogance vibrate through the hall,
             Without warning, footsteps, a man walks out,
                 A slamming door leaves a biting insult,
           I don't even know them, and I wasn't even there,
                                 So why do I care?

Author's Notes/Comments:

I don't know for sure, but I don't think anyone likes discord, or maybe they do.

Who's There?

I heard a knock at the door today

But I didn't open up.

I just laid on the floor

And counted the tiles on the ceiling.

Doors

The Doors,
Doors to an Idea
Doors to Imagination
Doors to Discovery
Doors to Inspiration
Doors to Understanding
Doors to Decisions
Doors to Truth
Doors to Sensing
Doors to Feelings
Doors to Creation
Doors to Enrichment
Doors to Enchantment
Doors to Fantasies
Doors to what you wanted to be.
Doors to Love
Doors to Belief
Doors to Peace
Doors to Dreams

...........can all be, opened by you.

Author's Notes/Comments:

A lovely and beautiful poem, that's now one of my favorite poems that I've written. The theme and idea just came to me. I love it!!! (I may add more to it in the future though.)

"Eye Loves"

My Work

He never thought tho skilled in the art,
how anyone could understand.
And so he kept his wayward heart,
hidden in the palm of his hand.
Going back to a lonely bed,
not comforted by the clock.
The tormented life that he had led,
a mind that raced nonstop.

I have seen this; in my mind,
the tossing and turning each night.
Waiting for some open heart's sign,
with promise to feel the light.
So he trudged thru weary days,
struggling to breathe.
Not knowing peace, but confusing ways,
deciding not to believe.

She always dreamed; tho not out loud,
of that special kiss.
Every time she sang for crowds,
something was amiss.
The social life that she had known,
was coming to an end.
And every night she slept alone,
needing more than a friend.

I have watched this, I have prayed,
trying to help her believe.
As she struggled to just stay brave,
wearing her heart on her sleeve.
So, she worked faithfully,
to keep the wolf from the door.
Not having much security,
but she knew there had to be more.

One day she met this stranger,
his merriment sprinkled with glee.
But in his pretty eyes she saw danger,
and whispered,"what's happening to me?"
From here on out she couldn't turn aside,
not that she even wanted to,
her feelings could not be denied,
she had to think this through.

Meanwhile, his heart was enraptured;
though he never said a word.
Her cute little smile, his lost soul captured,
others thought this absurd.
She brought him chips, a coke, and seemed
to just always be there.
They felt like they had met in a dream,
they had so much to share.

So by and by through much duress,
their secret could keep, no longer.
Late one night, they had to confess,
together they were stronger.
And now their days are blue skies;
for sweet love they have found,
and she is lost inside blue eyes,
and forever he, in brown.

"Faithful"

Folder:
My Work

Cobalt storms; not azure skies,
predict changing seasons.
Vague ambiance of lies,
waltz with fated reasons.
So tug upon the corners,
try to veil the smile.
Gather all ye mourners,
weep for her awhile.

He knows that she flows,
rivers channel deep.
But ocean's floor below,
caress his troubled sleep.
Golden pair;wounded dreams,
silently entreat.
Moments slide between the screams,
stranded in the heat.

She can't draw inside the lines,
of howling winds deranged.
And up ahead; ominous signs,
the highway looks so strange.
But he can hold her brave will;
in his hands so tenderly,
not even strong enough to still,
his mind she cannot free.

He is the lust to breathe and fly;
his wings stay unused,
within her voice; an angel's sigh,
but the melody, confused.
When questions birth insanity;
saline begs for more.
But he can only hear and see,
the vision behind the door.

And he will toss; and he will turn,
until his eyes are bright.
But in the loss of orgasmic burn,
the other sighs in the night.
He cannot wait; the world is open,
quiet, he leaves the bed.
Heart is faith; pulse is broken,
but his soul must be fed.

With trembling hands;he gasps to feel,
her curves and body light.
Silken strands and he must kneel;
to deliver here tonight.
He hears soft cries;for all too soon,
the other is in pain.
As his soul dies; behind the moon;
denying need again.

Have you ever had to choose;
one over the other?
And you knew that you would lose,
giving up one lover?
Life is a composition;
he strives to hear the source.
He must create; orchestrate,
passion is the the force.

When you read this piece of art;
you may think me wrong.
But I've heard the rhythm of this young man's heart,
and the music keeps him strong.

As he grows closer to his wife;
it's the stuff dreams are made of.
But from now til the end of of his life;
he's alive in guitar love..

Author's Notes/Comments:

My son, in the Air Force, loves his new wife, but oh my.....that guitar beckons in the moonlight.
