day

Untitled

Somewhere between light and dark
falls the shadow ever lurking
twixt the fairness due impart
born of jealous sultry night
stunning shudders creep in full
to stop the pitch of blackness
dripping from the moon.
 Dawns glorious dagger appears
to slay once more the perils
spilling the bloody death of night
o'er hill and dale alike
heralding daybreak
the survivor by
way of hue lit dews
bejeweled upon her crown.

Good Ol' Red White and Blue

It floats up above our head

Made of colorful thread

The first one was made by hand

And even that one looked so grand

It's always inspired me

When it's up there for all to see

It gets soldiers through the night

So they wake up to see the light

Because when they see it flying

It reminds them why they kepp on trying

It represents the land of the free

And it means everything to me

It's lasted through all the ages

And people write about it, pages and pages

Without it, our country is naught

Even though so many have fought

All those soldiers on the front lines

Reminds me that this country of mine

Is always free, through and through

All because of that Red White and Blue.

Just a poem that I came up with in class this last year when we did "found poetry". As always, feedback is appreciated!

Love

Let me lie

Let me freeze again

Till death do we part

And we are on a fast road there

Let me die

Let me live

For death is only the beginning

And I will rise again

Light and Dark

Where where is darkness
There is light
Where there is daytime
There is night
Where there is peace-time
There is war
When comes after
Look before

I Walk An Endless Road

I walk endless an road

locked into a heavy load

Of these questions and fears

Gripping from it's unreasonable tears

As a car roars by

I look dead into it's light

Wondering where it leads

But just like that it's gone

just like another day

As I wake up to the sun's harsh light

I try not to look back

As I attempt to fill this crack

Of this hurt and wonder

Unstoppable, a storm of rain and thunder

As a car roars by

I look dead into it's light

Wondering where it leads

But just like that it's gone

just like another night

As I stay up to the moon's hypnotic might

Together Forever

Folder:
To My Wife

If life is a game

And love is a place

Then I'd ever be

Within your embrace

But now we are far

So far from each other

But soon it's not so

In kisses we'll smother

When time is a memory

And space is a dream

Together forever

Rid of fates scheme

Laying together

On a midsummers day

Gone into the light

Wisped far away

Weather

When you wake up do you think of the weather

Whether or not it is raining or snowing

Whether or not it is sunny or foggy

When you wake up do you think of the weather

new day

everyone's wasted words

and efforts to

manipulate you,

so many long,

tedious years

of struggle.

lost, now found,

through your love for me,

the only thing

they all tried so

selfishly

to tell you,

show you,

trying to coerse you towards a feeling

that was so unnatural for you.

but you see now, my love,

how the mind distorts.

all they had to ever say

is that the love you feel,

will lead us all

to this day.

this lesson learned,

in this hard way,

keep it safe inside you,

it won't lead you astray.

I will never blame you again,

for the despise you

learned by their selfishness,

and haughty dogmatic dramas,

their ignorance of

true love.

I believe they truly,

simply,

have no understanding

of its

power over us all.

there is no more

they can say,

New Day!!

The Start of a New Day

When does morning start?

When a creature awakes,

Or when the sun rises?

Yea, the morning is

When a creature awakes

To find it starting anew

In the world dominated

By mortal souls.

The human wakes up

First by opening its eyes,

Then stretching its muscles

And sitting up in a position

To retreat from the bed

That held it prisoner

During the long, dark night.

Out of bed it goes

Attending its normal

Robotic morning routine

Whilst thinking of the future,

Of what the day holds,

And how the day will go.

Either gleefully or woefully

Does the human think of this

For not all mornings

Are filled with happiness and glee.

Fearful not is the human

Who takes things as they go

Wave by wave.

Wave by wave harassing it,

Wave by wave attacking it,

Wave by wave saddening it,

Wave by wave entertaining it,

Wave by wave knocking it down.

Each wave the human does take

Accepting each as a challenge,

As an opponent, an obstacle,

And one that must be rid of.

Defeat is not in its dictionary,

For there is no defeat

If one can rise again,

And face the same challenge

To only be victorious.

The human does not give up,

It does not ponder on the past,

But it rises from its ashes -

Waking up to start anew

In a world dominated

By mortal souls.
