Even though you toil..: Even though you toil
Yes, for little pay
Let other people scoff
Let them have their say
They mock you as you toil?
Let them mock, I say
To mock those who used to toil
Continue to the present day
I used to mock them myself
But I found a better way
Let them stop using the toil
Let them be full of crap all day
The title of your poem..: The title of your poem, which I enjoyed reading, reminded me of something the late, great Rodney Dangerfield said about an old girlfriend:
'She was so sexy, she got her tongue caught in the toaster making French toast!'
By the way, do you know if you take the letters of your screen name and scramble them, you can come up with the following:
TALL SQUIRREL GIRL = R RL QUALLTIES GIRL
For many men looking for a long-term relationship, a common complaint is 'I meet many women, who like me, are ready to give up the single life and settle down, maybe start a family, but these womens qualities are superficial. Where do I find a woman of substance, a woman with real qualities?' Thank you for giving these men hope that there are women of qualities such as yourself, out there. Take care.
PS - Because I have no self-control, I also was looking at what I assume is your actual name:
MAYA HANSON = AYA HANNSOM!
Whoever is the special man in your life is one lucky guy. Is that how you greet him when you see him? I would love to have a woman say that to me! And from a woman of real qualities too! How lucky can a guy get?
Wanted to let you know one last thing. You might not, for whatever reason , not address that special man in your life by what I came up with by scrambling the letters of your name. If that's the case, I can only say one thing to you MAYA HANSON = AN SHAM ON YA!
You defined, with radiance: You defined, with radiance and startling precision, my intention in this work and several others. I'm overflowing with fulfillment and humble gratitude. A thousand thank-you's for this eloquent gift.
No matter the wait, this is: No matter the wait, this is beautiful, a scene I never imagined, brought to life, imprinted, and set in a smile. Thank you.
The winter in its hungered: The winter in its hungered death, challanges patience, delaying hope and its bounty, leaving us adrift to its will.
Yet when painted by hands that also recognize the beauty, the rewards that await those who dream, who conquer, even themselves, the truth is unmistakeable. Your inspiring words always resonate deeply, you write of hope, the beauty of truth that is often overlooked in life, and the remembering that if we look close enough, we may still find some of those traits in ourselves. uh, I'm running out of adjectives, so, neato.
You have been in my prayers: You have been in my prayers for days and I will continue to bombard Heaven with requests for your peace, comfort and well-being. You are greatly valued here; you've touched so many lives and your poems, believe me, are an inspiration. Take care of yourself and remember: you are in God's hands, the most loving Hands, the very, very best of Hands.
Heartfelt prayers and eternal gratitude.

used to say 'They call it the Golden Years? Feels more like brass'. Take care.
I enjoy your comments much: I enjoy your comments much too much, sincere... Your bounty of information in shared analysis is always a joy to strip ribbon. And though I don't show it with appropriately timely response, it is always also joyous to hear from you, SSTRANGER
