Dark night
No stars except for one
But why pour out my desires
To this single star
When in the past
My wishing stars burned out
And I turn my head away
Ignoring this stella temptation
But from the corner of my eye
I see this star grow brighter
I decide, what's the harm?
And I wish, hope, and pray
Lightning bugs floating about
I lay beneath the sky
And in the faded light of firefly and moon
You lay next to me and say
I've never looked as beautiful before
As I do beneath the moon tongiht
I look to my star and smile
As it slowly fades away
Why pour out my heart's desire
To this single star
When in the past
My wishing star's burned out?
