@ 27.055 MHz: Ad Astra; After J. Darling's Style, 48 [XLIX]

He loves to watch his boyfriend's footsteps---over

the lawn and, in imagination, through the

stars:  his boyfriend's feet (not quite concealed by frayed

denim cuffs) bare or sheathed in dark blue socks; and

almost never shod . . . .

These poems after J.

These poems after J. Darling's style are always concentrated celebration. The sense of ease, abandon and soft, buoyant affection spills through each line like soft rain. As always, the significance of the casual attire and liberated feet say far more than pages of expression or overt eroticism.

Artfully simple and impacting. No matter what anyone says, the lifeline you are throwing to young people questioning their identity is crucial. Your legacy is untouchable.

Please forgive my delayed

Please forgive my delayed response.  The last two days have brought excruciating pain in my shoulder, for unknown reasons, such that I could not move my right arm or hand very much.  It has improved a bit today, but still hurts when I move the arm.

I thank you for your comment.  As always, you understand each of my poems perfectly.  But that final paragraph of your comment is soooo inspiring and superlative, and validates what I have hoped to be doing with this series---so that those young persons, and any other persons who are persecuted for who and how they love, can see that their emotions and affections and expression of those are valid, valuable, and deserve to be in Poetry.

Enjoy effulgent days, and exquisite nights,

unto the exultations of Heaven.
