+ 27.225 MHz 115: After P. P. Bliss And Ray Bradbury, And A Movie

Christ's lighthouse is always shining;

nothing can occlude it.  But He allows us

to keep our own lighthouses along the shore;

and these are frequently occluded,

and crushingly destroyed by our own

Beasts From 20,000 Fathoms,

or even deeper in the dregs of our own
selfish self-cemter, our Central of degradation,

by which we deny others the news of Salvation.

After false preaching to our itching ears,

we impose upon others our bitter, bitching words.

Author's Notes/Comments:

Inspired by three items considered in conjunction:  "Let The Lower Lights Be Burning," by P.P. Bliss; "The Foghorn," by Ray Bradbury, and the film it inspired, The Beast From 20,000 Fathoms.
