Circa 1976: Pleasure---A Metaphysic

As lovers' mutual pleasure
surges through structures of flesh, blood, and bone,
it says to the there-summoned soul---
"Rejoice:  in this love you are never alone;
"love that exists beyiond words' measure;

"nor stoops to jealous others' derogation;

"love that makes this existence full,
"does not disdain the licit and pleasing sensation."
