+ 27.225 MHz 050: Categorical Defeat Of The Kategoreo

And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. . . . . he knoweth that he hath but a short time.

---Revelation 12:10,12

From His throne on starlit high,
the Risen, Regnant Nazarene
wields truth against the despoiler's lie;
and clogs the cogs of the infernal machine.

A passing storm, the despoiler rains from the air,
and knows he has so little time to spare.
In our time, his temptations have ramped up production
before he enters hellfire's unending destruction.

His suffering screams will seem, to us, a mere rattle.
The war has been won---every skirmish and battle
has seen him defeated, decisive and total loss;
 triunphant, our long-suffering Lord, murdered on a cross.

Rejoice, Brethren, the accuser will be cast down---
unable to tarnish or to purloin the glorious crown
of eternal life that each of us shall receive,
secured in Christ if on Him we wholly believe.

To Jesus Christ we gladly ascribe the victory---
to the Son of God and a barefoot girl from Galilee.

Author's Notes/Comments:

The Greek word in the title refers to the accuser of the brethren in the Scriptural verse cited supra.

This poem is a response to the writing of a very evil person, whose name I am loathe to mention here; whose words I found by unfortunate chance (and I left the site quickly).
