I want to give you a gift

one that sends back all you give to me

but I cant find anything worthy enough

I wish I could give you the world

in a package of gold

sealed with all the love inside me

but even that gift is too small

maybe a million stars

that would shine for you

make you happy every night your not beside me

spell out our names in the open sky

It would be a way to give you forever

If only I could give you the sun

to warm your heart if it ever gets dark

or dedicate the winter snow or the summer rain

to cool you if your filled with anger

I'd write you a million poems

sing a million songs

paint a million pictures

to show you all my love

all I can give you

is all that I am capable of showing from inside

I give you all of myself  

wishing I could give you more
