Timidly in camouflage

Blending into scenes

Parody waits, hesitates

Idles in the shade,

Brass agloss, safety off

Ready to invade.

A pointed ask is on attack

The truth that may offend

Is opted out to turn about

Fair play to defend.

News reports, lethal darts

Of irony are thrown

Where leaders meet to insure

The truth is never known.
