Receding Sunset

Folder:
2003

Receding sunset bathing,
The surface of the ocean depths,
Giving its final morsels of warmth
To last the night,
Tucking in the sleepy fish
As they lie suspended
In the weightlessness of life.
Blanket of night keeps them safe.…….Goodnight!

Pinnacles of rock fortresses,
Sentinels standing guard,
Becoming stealth in the night,
One with the darkness,
Protecting the finned ones from
The floating eye-light
That would seek to destroy
The children of the sea by
Enticing them to its cold warmth,
Capturing them in the net.…………Beware!

Freedom comes in the morning,
At the dawn,
True Son shines forth His light
Once again warming the sea in
Grace and Mercy,  Love and Forgiveness.
Those who resisted the imitation
Light in the darkness
Are free to play in blessings
For another day.
Smile….….Good morning!
