CHEESED OFF

CHEESED OFF

Something’s missing down the line somewhere;

For I feel the vacuum, but hear a faint little whine;

I wish, I were free from all earthly complexities;

As the scare is felt afresh, deep down in mind.

Millions of miles, I could traverse without a fuss,

A wink of eyes could spot the farthest beauty;

A flash of thought could take me to the world of ecstasy;

Oh!  I wish I were off from such a fantasy.

It wasn’t a great deal and in no time, I could;

By replacing the link to restore the hay days;

I never gonna try for fear of sustenance,

And I make believe to accept such a fallacy of life.

Tactics of survival, I reckon, I am up to;

No risk, I wanna take and so I compromise;

What a life this! I refuse to accept and enjoy;

Oh! I am cheesed off all the more.

Author's Notes/Comments:

A mistaken idea that makes us angry and feel inferior.  Hence we compromise and keep ourself in a stalemate condition.
