TACITURN

TACITURN

Devilishness and ecstasy couldn’t impart any ghastly nightly junk;

The mind that remained unnerved was rock solid as ever;

As the night gave way, the gruesome nightly activities seized,

And a brighter vision gradually got focused on course of day.

The day broke off unveiling the mysterious shroud of dark;

Though pleasant thoughts emerged, the mind remained undeterred;

And serenity empowered tranquility to parry past the ire;

Dauntless of the frightful night, the mind disembarked for a while.

Devoid of the irk, my thoughts fluttered and went afar;

As the sun shone on my dale bringing in gaiety and pomp,

The visions of rupture thawed and my mind began to see; and then

The clarity of thought helped me distinguish both good and bad.

Silent though, your beacon of light still lights up your mind;

Though active but habitually silent, you still can’t take it for granted;

Let the taciturn pre-occupy your mind and stand in good stead,

As it’s so inseparable, no doubt, it helps you carry you through.

Author's Notes/Comments:

One needs to maintain his composure and be naturally silent so as to go through his course of life successfully.

"No", she replied, "but I have experienced it. "

Nightlight,

I don't know how others take your comments; but I take it in full as you are one of the poets for who I have high regards and understanding.  You seem to read a lot and guide others by the vast knowledge you posses. (Eg. your direction on Astrotheology when you commented on my poem  'Mother Earth' really gave me something new). Hope I get more and more!

Thanks.

Mr. Bishu,

The habitual silence in you help you carry you through.  That's the gist of the poem.  The rest of the points are flourishes that are typical of any poet.  Nothing else.  Sorry for not making it clear, nevertheless I will try to rectify my lack of clarity in the future.
