ADVERSITIES

ADVERSITIES

The thunderbolt struck with its deadliest delight,

Tearing apart the heavily-laden passive clouds;

Murkier the sky grew and the immense discharge seen,

The clouds eased off their weight flooding the hills and valley.

The gust that shot off from nowhere went hissing past the lanky trees;

It brought down the boughs in no time ensuring the balancing act;

Notwithstanding, the fallen canopy exposed the expanse of the staggering Earth;

Proving, none is above nature except the Creator.

With mud sliding underneath, and the diabolical onrush felt,

Herds of deer ran skelter shelter scenting the terrible predicament;

Finding no cover, they merged with their foes of yesterday;

‘Unity in Diversity’, nature taught as everyone stood together in fright.

In the midst of danger, no one cared if they were fierce or timid;

It was nature’s compulsion that spared no one when in fury;

When fear drove down everyone into despair, the pride vanished;

Humility reigned supreme and they settled for a new lease of life.

Oh, Man! Don’t you know that you are just a tiny tot and a weakling?

You boast off when you are safe and sound and brag off caring none;

But, you got to realize that everyone becomes humble and hapless

Showing uniqueness in fright and fear at times of adversities.

Author's Notes/Comments:

Nature makes both human beings and animals to be together to face adversities irrespective of their fear for each other.
