Breaking Free

This simple walk,

Is the cure to over thinking,

Just put one foot in front of the other,

Sure people can be complicated, messy,

But they can't stop you from being by yourself,

Enjoying the rustle of leaves,

The blackness of the night sky,

I've thought too much about last night today,

About who's couch I'm sleeping on for Thanksgiving,

How I'll live off pocket change until Friday,

I wish it were easy to run from these problems,

As if life had a sideline so you could catch your breathe,

But we're doomed here to try and suffocate them,

Drown them,

Or even excercise them in a healthy way,

But for me these problems can't catch me,

As long as I keep on walking
