The Vampire Diaries & The Originals

So many people roll their eyes at the mention of The Vampire Diaries or The Originals. Here is why I love these shows so much, it paints the perfect picture for the idea that even the most troubled, horrific of individuals have their reasons for being what they are, and despite the brutality of their actions, they are trying to do what they think is right. What one peraon thinks is right and wrong looks different to another person, and this show touches on that with every conflict. They thoroughly express that no action goes without consequence, good or bad. They teach that we find our strength through a solid support system, and can overcome nearly any obstacle life gives us. Some see a modernized si-fi soap opera, I see life lessons and new perspectives supported with some of the most interesting plots.

I Tried To Watch Them

but I read laurel k hamilton's vamp/werewolf books and I'm soooooo spoiled - as scripts go, I am sensitive to dialog and I hope the writers have evolved - will give both series another look. Fantasy rocks! A lot of series start out with a BANG, then fizzle. They can't sustain it: Westworld remake, anything that starts in history fizzles (The Mummy - the fun is in the ancient times - that's the mummy I want to see and they keep to formula and it's just weird). Boris Karloff and Lon Chaney of the silver screen scared us in the 50's/60's - Vincent Price restored by Michael Jackson (did you now they offered him royalties and he took a fee not knowing the potential for making a lot more with Mikey). Vince.

FYI, I posted some sci-fy on - under allets - Korviaaslax (4 chaptrs posted, 4 more done and waiting for the first chapter to reach 2000 reader hits. I would make a nice book to hold and read.
