salt fell on my eyelashes as his summer

scented caramel tinged skin glistened in

the mechanical cop car lights

I blushed as he rapped to his favorite

song and then fell immediately silient

to feel the vibrations from his voice

traveling through my bones and blood

and spaces between

good God I'm saved by it

it threw us up to good will and good

traveling in his truck

he asked me what was wrong and my leg

tingled beneath his hand as he placed it

assuringly, there.

his rapping through the night blushes

all these cop car lights

and good God I'm saved by it
